I was in our Sanctuary this morning meditating over the direction, the needs and some of the grumpy (never happy people of our church family). Honestly it was dark, chilly and somber in that place something like my prayers. There I was thinking about budgets, dollars, gaps, the angry, lonely, the hurting and the prayers yet to be answered.

Then something truly wonderful happened. Just as I opened my eyes, looking toward the altar, sunlight burst through the upper window. The room literally flared with light causing every shadow to disappear. The words came, “O Lord, let my soul rise up to meet you as the day rises to meet the sun. Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever. Amen”.

Dear brother and sister in Christ you are in my prayers today. I pray the shadows to fade, the Son of God to invade your life. I was reminded this morning so I will remind you as well. God always provides a way, hope for the tired, the hurting, the lost, and the angry. Help is on the way the good news is here rejoice and share that fact with another on the path.

You truly are in my prayers…
