Spiritual Direction

We have been spending time in Iowa with some good friends. They took us to a park that overlooks the Mississippi River which gave me pause and brought to mind the Father and poet John O’Donohue. He wrote:

I would love to live

Like a river flows,

Carried by the surprise

Of it’s own unfolding.

Which causes me to ask: is there something I (we) need to let go of in order to live the life God wants for us? What can I give up today in order to enjoy the. “Unfolding’ Of God’s Love for me?

His love is available, Her healing and love is right here right now but I need to flow into my Savior’s arms.

See you at the river…

Spiritual Direction

‘In his book, The Divine Dance Richard Rohr states, “Thus everything is Holy for those who have learned to see.” I have been visiting friends in Iowa and during my morning walk the Aspen leaves almost seemed to sing in the wind which reminded me of the Father’s comments. Take a moment today…this week to rejoice in God’s gift to us, His wonderful creation.
